Life's a Peach: Maxi Skirts & Sunsets

We had the opportunity to do our first official shoot for the blog! We have been saying time and time again when I was in Texas we would take blog photos but we just never had the time. Over the labor day weekend we had a free evening and it worked out perfectly. Our friend, Kallan, offered to take photos for us and they turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I was super nervous because I'm usually a selfie queen but I wasn't used to someone else taking the photo and not looking at every shot after it was taken. It was very freeing by the end of the process. Kallan was so great with directing us on what poses and how to have some natural looking photos. Leann and I aren't super serious but she was patient with us the entire time. Her boyfriend, Dustin, (and Leann's brother in law) along with our friend Andrew came along to help her out and Andrew even took some video of the shoot. We went to a local park and walked back to the trees. We started the shoot around 6PM and took some photos and chased the sunset and the awesome natural light.

On the way to the park we passed an open field. Leann said it would be pretty cool to take some photos there and Kallan had the same idea. We headed over, parked on the side of the road, and walked out into the field. We made a joke that we should have had peaches for the shoot so Dustin and Andrew ran up to Kroger and got some peaches for us. Perfect props for two girls from Georgia. The sun started to set when she took these photos and I love the lighting in them. I'm a sucker for a good sunset.
