Hello, Peaches!
I don't know about you guys, but since the holiday season has started sugar has been my main food group. I enjoyed all the treats, sweets, and everything this time of year had to offer but I'm very ready to be back in the routine of actually eating fruits and veggies. Our parents drove up to Texas to spend Christmas with Kev and I and the weather here in Kansas has all of the sudden decided to go into full winter mode. Cold, rain and possibly some snow over the new few days. I was feeling oddly productive this evening so I thought I would share some more pictures from the wedding weekend because I know Leann will agree that it was probably our favorite thing that happened this month. .
We spent the first part of the day in the hotel suite getting ready for pictures. Leann was awesome and did my hair and make up. She gave me one killer fishtail braid that I still miss. Kim put on some 2000s hip hop pandora and we sat around enjoying a bit of the calm before the storm. The photographer go there a little after 1 to take a few shots of the dress and my Mom helping her getting into it. Kim looked absolutely gorgeous, of course.
After the photographer got some pictures done at the hotel we headed downtown for some pre wedding bridesmaids photos. And we were running a bit behind schedule but the photos took maybe 20 minutes?? It was so simple and carefree I was actually surprised. You hear a lot of horrors about spending so much time taking photos but the photographer was awesome and got the job done.
We had to get back to the church before Bruce made it out to where we were to take pictures with his groomsmen. After pictures it was a lot of hanging out at the church till it was go time. A lot of sitting around, watching the guests pull in, getting the little boys in their outfits, and touching up lipstick.
A little after 4 it was time to head to the Sanctuary for the ceremony. I think we all teared up at least once but overall it was fun, there were tears, there was laughter, and it was the perfect ceremony for Kim and Bruce. And let us not forget the nephews were the ones who stole the show at their entrance. Finley ran down the aisle and back and Rick, Ayden & Tre proudly walked down the aisle after.
After the ceremony we hung around to take a few family/full wedding party photos. After that we headed to the reception area. A bonus with this wedding is that some of my best friends (who are basically family) were also in attendance so not only did I get to be part of my big sister's wedding but I got to spend some time with my best pals.
Congrats again, Kim & Bruce! It was an honor, a blast, the absolute BEST, being a part of your big day and celebrating the two of you. We're so happy to have a new big brother and two nephews to add to the family who we already love so much. A weekend so fun, we wish we could do it all over again.
LIFE'S A PEACH,
Tori (& Leann)
