The first items we worked on were a dining room table and side table we have in the home. We were actually given these by my future in laws who found them for free on the side of the road. Grey is such a good neutral color and I love that you can really use any color to accent them. We worked really hard to strip the table and then for the rest of the items we realized that was just too much work.
We were also given these chairs and my sister had the idea to spray paint them instead of looking for new chairs. K's favorite color is purple and mine is pink so this was a great way to meet in the middle. Also it paired great with the grey.
Completed Look:
We had a few side tables in the living room we wanted to paint and went with a bold pink/fuschia color.
Completed look:
We were given a baker's rack from one of K's friends and it's a pretty cool piece but I wasn't in love with the colors. I got a yes on a light pink color and we decided to spray paint the metal parts on it. we were pretty sloppy on this one but I'm going with the "rustic" description.

And for the final big transformation, we painted a vanity that I use in the mornings to get ready. It was something handed down to us by K's Mom and it wasn't in bad shape but I just really thought giving it some color would add to the guest room that it is in. We went for a watermelon-ish color for most of the wood and accented the drawers with the light pink we had left over from the bakers rack. I even spray painted the drawer knobs gold. I love the way this one turned out. It's so me and perfect to sit at every time I get a chance to take my time getting ready!

This is everything we have done so far! I still have a few dressers I would like to paint that watermelon color and maybe purchase some cute handles. Those were the items we didn't quite make it to when my sister was here. I might try to tackle them in a month or so when it isn't so hot outside. Or I might just wait until my sisters are here for the week of the wedding and have a DIY day and have them help me tackle them. Either way I'm super happy with how all of these projects turned out and love that getting them inspired helped me redecorate some of the home and make it feel more like ours. We're not sure how much longer we'll stay in this rental but I do love it and this was a good way to make it our own without painting walls or demo'ing anything.
Speaking of weddings...mine is in two months!! We've had a lot of things come together recently and I figured once it feels more complete I'll talk about what we chose and just our wedding planning process all together. My next wedding DIY is transforming fake pumpkins into the cutest table decor. Fall is coming, y'all!!
Bonus project:
We had leftover chairs and some purple paint so redid them for a front porch seating area!
Life's a Peach,
Tori
