Part 3 was the biggest surprise of all. Literally. We came home from Fredericksburg to find my house filled with some awesome people. Some of the ladies/friends from Camp got together and threw me a little surprise golden birthday do-over.
Last year for my golden, we didn't get to do much because money was tight. I believe I had told that story to Taylor randomly while talking birthday's and she remembered and organized the cutest little surprise.
It really meant a lot to me that she remembered that and went through the trouble plan this surprise. I also felt like it was kind of my initiation to the camp. Sounds silly, but we are still pretty new (6 months) to camp and I am still building relationships with my neighbors and co-workers. It was just a sweet treat to see these women love and celebrate me.
We almost ruined the surprise twice. The first was when Taylor was scheming with Kellogg. For one, we share a phone and all of our apple devices are connected to the same Apple ID. I was working on my computer and some texts popped up and disappeared before I could read them, and then Kell turned around and gave me a weird look. I didn't think too much of it. The second was the night of the party. We got home earlier than Kell had said we would and I saw people running into my house as we were pulling into our driveway. Kell tried to tell me it was Toby, our dog.
We had so much fun, the night was filled with golden treats, fruity drinks, a photo booth and lots of dancing. A whole lot of dancing. We danced in the kitchen, then we danced some more in the living room.
I am pretty good at not showing emotion, so it can be challenging to outwardly show how happy and grateful I am for really great things really great people do for me. But this was one of the sweetest things that has happened to me in a really long time. I cannot say thank you enough for everyone who showed up, made me feel loved and included and let me do the stanky leg as much as I wanted.
Shout out to These two for planning the Party, and to Taylor for putting lipstick on everyone.
P.S. the rest of the photos will be added to my facebook page.
Best. Birthday. Ever.
Peach & Blessings, Leann
