For Christmas, my husband got me the Fuji Instax Mini Camera, and I am going to tell you what I think about it. Truth is, I am obsessed with it. I have been wanting one of these for a while and was so pumped to find out Kellogg pulled through for Christmas. I convinced him to give it to me early since I already knew I was getting it, and really wanted to test it out at my sister's wedding.
I got all the fun accessories like these film (duh), these stripe camera stickers, and a camera bag. They make all types of bags for these cameras. I got mine from Amazon.
This bag is the perfect size to hold your camera, extra film and batteries and your phone. It has a shoulder strap, so I use it as a purse all the time. I am a huge fan of the bag. They have a ton of different styles, and they are all cute.
The camera is pretty easy to operate. You push a button to open the lens, point, and shoot (my thumb is covering the button that takes the picture).
Important things to remember: Make sure not to cover the flash, sensor, or where the photo ejects.
The photo pops out of the top of the camera.
You can turn the lens to choose your lighting setting.
The back is of the camera is where the film goes and it also shows you how many photos you have left.
Very important to make sure you get the right size film. I am speaking from experience on this one. The film is not the cheapest, but if you have a coupon for Michael's it helps a lot. 50% off one item coming in clutch! The film is good for 10 photos and usually comes in a twin pack.
I read and watched a lot of reviews about this camera, just for fun. Because apparently that is the type of things I do for fun now. Some people thought the photos were over-exposed, but that is kind of one of the things I like about the photos.
I have already gone through 3 things of film. I love having tangible photos from fun memories. I am the worst at printing photos. I am still trying to print photos from my wedding. My favorite part is getting to share these photos with my friends. It is just as fun to take them as it is to give them away. Everyone loves them. I could really go on and on about how big of a fan I am of this camera, but I won't. If you are thinking about getting one. Do it. Fuji has a couple of options and Polaroid (the O.G.) has some options too.
Bonus! They are on sale at Michael's right now. You can also find them at Urban Outfitters and Amazon.
Tell us about your experience with your Fuji Instax.
Peach Out, Leann
